Hi, I’m Grayson
I’m the founder of Saltwater Souls Counseling — one of the few private practices in Florida devoted exclusively to LGBTQ+ mental health.
I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ adults and couples navigating anxiety, relationship conflict, burnout, trauma, identity stress, and major life transitions. My work is trauma-informed, affirming, and grounded in lived community experience.
Before becoming a therapist, I competed as a Division I athlete. That discipline still shapes how I show up — steady, focused, and committed to meaningful progress. I bring that same intentionality into the therapy room, balancing depth with forward movement and practical tools.
I’m based in St. Petersburg and provide secure telehealth therapy throughout Florida. Expect professional, thoughtful care with direct feedback, collaborative problem-solving, and well-timed humor when it helps lighten the work.
Ready to work with a Florida-based therapist who understands your world?
My Approach
At Saltwater Souls Counseling, I integrate mental-health science with depth-oriented insight to offer therapy that’s personalized, grounded, and responsive to your real life. Rather than forcing a rigid model, our work adapts to your goals, history, relationships, and the context you’re living in right now.
In couples therapy, I draw from Gottman-informed and attachment-based perspectives to interrupt repeating conflict cycles, improve communication, and rebuild trust. We focus on the emotional patterns underneath arguments while strengthening practical tools that stabilize connection.
Individual therapy bridges depth and practicality. Alongside concrete tools for anxiety, emotional regulation, and daily stress, we examine the deeper patterns shaped by early experiences and attachment history. Insight creates understanding; practical skills create change. Together, they allow growth that lasts.
We’ll strengthen what’s already working, shift what isn’t, and identify clear next steps that create steady, sustainable progress.
