Minors & Complex Cases

Saltwater Souls does not provide gender-affirming letters for clients under 18.
Teens are welcome in our individual therapy and LGBTQ+ youth group circles for identity exploration, coping skills, and family support, but any formal medical-transition documentation must be obtained elsewhere. Complex adult cases that need additional stabilization can schedule extra therapy sessions; no surprise fees—everything is agreed upon in advance.

FAQs

Is more therapy required after the letter?
No. Many clients continue care for support, but the letter evaluation stands alone.

Will surgeons accept a master’s-level therapist’s letter?
Yes. Florida surgeons and insurers routinely accept letters when SOC-8 criteria are documented, however, it is up to you to ask your specific doctor their requirements. 

What if my case is complicated?
Additional sessions can be scheduled; you’ll never be charged without prior agreement.
